PROVIR Viral Collection & Transport Kit. Swab capture cap with breakpoint polyester swab. Includes 1ml of maintenance liquid which stabilises and preserves the infectivity of respiratory, genital and enteric viruses to facilitate laboratory assessment. Contains anti-microbials to limit contamination and sample degradation. Swab capture screw cap reduces labour and time optimising automated testing whilst securing sample transfer.

respiratory (including COVID 19), genital and enteric viruses

Ideal For:
Patient sampling and analysis

Known Limitations:

1. DO NOT REUSE. Single use Device that is not suitable for re-work or reuse.

2. Ideal for enveloped viruses.

3. Recovery after 72 hours will be unpredictable and target viruses may be lost.

4. Unsuitable for certain sample areas (body cavities, twists, bends or where poor visibility is experienced) due to the inclusion of a breakpoint.

Shelf Life: 12 months (further tests pending)

Sterilisation Method: Gamma Irradiation to achieve a SAL of 10-6
