Description
For Patient use - Probact Amies Charcoal medium in tube.Includes Aluminium shaft with viscose minitip swab in peel pouch (M40 compliant).

Recommended For:
Clinically significant samples, but can be used to transport most fastidious & non-fastidious Micro-organisms.

Ideal For:
48 hour transport of microbiological samples (including clinical) for fastidious, non-fastidious, aerobic and anaerobic microorganisms including:

Pseudomonas spp., Streptococcus spp., Haemophilus spp., Bacteroides spp., Peptostreptococcus spp., Fusobacterium spp., Propionibacterium spp., Prevotella spp., Neisseria spp., anaerobes, microaerophilics.

Urethral Sampling, ENT Sampling.

Known Limitations:
1. DO NOT REUSE. Single use Device that is not suitable for re-work or reuse.

2. Recovery after 48 hours wil be unpredictable and target organisms will be lost. Fatty acid sensitive strains will not be affected by the presence of viscose.

3. Do not use any device that appears different in colour, presentation, has faulty packaging/seal or components/media missing. Please see IFU for details.

Shelf Life: 2 years.

Sterilisation Method:
Gamma Irradiation to achieve a SAL of 10-6
