Description
For Patient use - Probact Amies Charcoal medium in tube, includes Woodshaft/Cotton tip swab in peel pouch (M40 compliant).

Recommended For:
Clinically significant samples, but can be used to transport most fastidious & non-fastidious Micro-organisms.

Ideal For:
48 hour transport of microbiological samples (including clinical) for fastidious, non-fastidious, aerobic and anaerobic microorganisms including:

Pseudomonas spp., Streptococcus spp., Haemophilus spp., Bacteroides spp., Peptostreptococcus spp., Fusobacterium spp., Propionibacterium spp., Prevotella spp., Neisseria spp., anaerobes, microaerophilics.

Known Limitations:
1. DO NOT REUSE. Single use Device that is not suitable for re-work or reuse.

2. Recovery after 48 hours will be unpredictable and target organisms will be lost. Fatty acid sensitive strains will give decreased recovery or be stressed in the presence of cotton.

3. Do not use any device that appears different in colour, presentation, has faulty packaging/seal or components/media missing. Please see IFU for details.

Shelf Life: 2 years.

Sterilisation Method:
Gamma Irradiation to achive a SAL of 10-6
