Recommended For:

clinically significant samples especially urethral sampling, but can be used to transport most fastidious & non-fastidious Micro-organisms

Ideal For:

48 hour transport of microbiological samples (including clinical) for fastidious, non-fastidious and anaerobic microorganisms.

Known Limitations: Recovery after 48 hours wil be unpredictable and target organisms will be lost. Fatty acid sensitive strains will give decreased recovery or be stressed in the presence of cotton.
Shelf Life: 2 years

Sterilisation Method:

Gamma Irradiation to achive a SAL of 10^-6
