Sponge for Environmental Sampling of
Following changes in
Food Hygiene Legislation as of 1st January 2006 and in order to comply with
meat industry standards and recommendations (http:/www.ukmeat.org), we at
Technical Service Consultants Ltd are currently developing products for the
environmental sampling of red meat carcasses.
Product consist of sterile 50-cm2
sponge dosed with 10ml of 0.9% un-buffered saline (sodium chloride solution)
and it's suitable collection and transport system for analysis of TVC,
Enterobacteriaceae, E.coli and Salmonella from the surfaces of meat carcasses.
Pre-Moistened Swab
Recently launched by
TSC, Pre-Moistened Swab is a simple and convenient sampling device for hygiene
monitoring of any surfaces. It can be used in food, pharmaceutical,
medical, beverage and any other industry, where environmental monitoring,
personal surface monitoring, or cleaning validation in necessary. Swab pre-moistened
in TSC neutralizing buffer (TS/5-44MS) is an ideal product for environmental
sampling of surfaces where disinfectants are used and, therefore,
neutralization of chemicals is important for maximal recovery of contaminant
micro-organisms. Neutralizing buffer provides inactivation of
disinfectants; supports full recovery of micro-organisms, prevents their growth
and preserves viability during transport from the sampling site to the testing
laboratory.
The product consists of viscose
tipped polystyrene shaft swab in the polypropylene tube, packed in the peel
pouch. Swab tip is pre-moistened with sterile neutralizing buffer.
Swab is mounted in a blue plastic cap and supplied in the labelled tube for
storage and transport.
