Recommended For:

General swabbing, wounds etc.

Ideal For:

24 hour transport of microbiological samples (including clinical), for fastidious, non-fastidious and anaerobic microorganisms.

Known Limitations: Recovery after 24 hours will be unpredictable and target organisms will be lost. Fatty acid sensitive strains will give decreased recovery or be stressed in the presence of cotton.
Shelf Life: 2 years

Gamma Irradiation to achive a SAL of 10^-6
