With a comprehensive range of microbiological consumables we can offer a complete sample testing solution of most end users. Our commitment to product quality shows with our certification to ISO9001:2008, ISO 13485:2003 and MDD93/42/EEC (inc. amendments MD/2007/EC), allowing manufacture of both Clinical and Food sampling products at our site at Heywood.
Clinically, we supply sterile culture swabs without transport media for instant transfer or for extended external sampling a range of clear (>24hrs) or charcoal (>48hrs) transport media are available. For general sample throughput and subculture techniques, we offer a wide range of disposables loops in different sizes and strengths aswell as L shaped spreaders, inoculating needles and pipettes for Protect. Urine containers are also available for 24 hour collection studies.
Furthermore, Micro-organism isolates from Patients can be stored in Protect during the permitted time for sample retention. This simple method preserves the original micro-organism isolated, allowing multiple investigations to be performed with exactly the same organism. Also, the vial can be easily and cleanly disposed of once the sample retention limit has been reached.
For the Food sector, we offer a comprehensive range of environmental monitoring products (aka Enviroscreen Range) that offer an accurate way of assessing Micro-organism counts on virtually any surface and with certain products; personnel bioburden can be ascertained. All this can be performed even in the presence of traces of disinfectants due to the inclusion of traditional and novel neutralisers like used in our Petrifilm compatible universal neutraliser (TS/5-48). We also offer the same range and quality of disposable loops, spreaders as we do for the Clinical market.
Sterile sampling containers for water testing with and without Sodium thiosulphate and at different concentrations are also available making it easy to know that your sample is kept in the best condition before testing. Diagnostic and routine media are also offered to traditional formulations or customised upon request.
All products are guaranteed to a Sterility Assurance Level (SAL) of 10-6 and either supplied in a medical grade peel pouch, Medical grade bag or plastic tube with tamper evident seals
